The Substance Abuse Program in Christian County is celebrating 20 years of helping people. Jailer Brad Boyd invited those connected to the start of the program to commemorate its success. He says the program was one of two in the state 20 years ago.
He adds there are many who have made it successful.
Boyd says the program started with 32 beds for inmates.
SAP is a six to nine month residential substance abuse program that utilizes the therapeutic community model to provide substance abuse services to those with a history of substance dependence.
