United States Senator Rand Paul says he is pleased with the progress in the Interstate 69 expansion and inclusion of the parkway between Hopkinsville and Madisonville. Senator Paul discussed the expansion during a conversation with the News Edge Tuesday. Paul says this is a step toward improving infrastructure in Western Kentucky.
Senator Paul adds improved infrastructure tends to be a non-partisan issue in Washington.
He says improved infrastructure will mean more than just good roads for people to drive on.
Senator Paul also discussed immigration, tax reform and the need to find a better solution for continued operation of the federal goverment during the News Edge conversation.
