Christian County could soon pursue TVA Sustainability recognition. Trigg County was designated a Valley Sustainable Silver Community in October. South Western Kentucky Economic Development Associate Director, Sharon Butts says they are assessing the interest of the Hopkinsville Christian County community.
She adds there has been an increased interested from factories for sustainable communities.
Executive Director Mark Lindsey says they are also concerned with STEM initiatives. The EDC is also considering a second TVA program.
Butts adds they are unsure exactly what that will entail but expect to learn more if they are selected for it.
