Man Charged In Connection To Clarksville Burglary

A tip from the public led to the arrest of a man wanted for burglarizing an office in Clarksville. Clarksville Police spokesman Jim Knoll says 30-year old Ryan Gerard was charged with Burglary and Drug Paraphernalia.

Gerard is accused of taking approximately $800 worth of power tools from an office at 350 Pageant Lane around 2:00 Tuesday morning. A surveillance photo of the man was shared with media asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect, and police say tips quickly came into the police department.

Detectives located Gerard and he was taken into custody. Knoll says they also found him in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police served a search warrant at a home in the 1300 block of Laurent Lane, where detectives reportedly found and recovered the stolen power tools, as well as a four wheeler stolen out of Cheatham County.

Gerard was lodged in the Montgomery County Jail under a $27,000 bond. Knoll indicates Gerard was already out of jail on bond for other criminal charges.
