A retirement celebration will be held Thursday for Madisonville Police Chief Wade Williams. The City of Madisonville and Chief Williams made the announcement last week that he is retiring at the end of the month after serving 20 years with the Madisonville Police Department.
When reflecting on his career, Chief Williams says there were too many proud moments to list them all concerning his employees and the ability to serve Madisonville for the past two decades. Williams notes he's proud to see the changes that were so hard to make from the beginning are now able to be measured in ample benefits and a boosted morale within his internal department.
The retirement celebration will be held at Madisonville's City Park clubhouse from 11:00am until 1:00pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Chief Williams' last day will be February 28.
