Motorcyclist Injured In Tuesday Russellville Road Crash

A Hopkinsville motorcyclist was injured in a crash on Russellville Road Tuesday afternoon. Hopkinsville Police report 29-year old Mary Fair, of Clarksville, was driving westbound around 2:40pm and was making a left turn from Russellville Road into Circle K, located at 2175 Russellville Road, when her car was hit near the rear on the passenger's side by a motorcycle driven by 31-year old Daniel Oliver. Police say Fair stated she didn't see the motorcycle, but as she was making the turn heard a loud noise and felt her car being hit. Officers indicate Oliver was unable to make a statement but advised doctors that he was stopped to make a turn and was rear ended. An eyewitness, according to police, stated she observed Fair make a left hand turn in front of Oliver, causing his motorcycle to collide with Fair's vehicle.

Police say Oliver was ejected from the motorcycle and it appeared he hit his head due to marking on his helmet. Oliver reportedly complained of pain on the entire right side of his body and was transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment.
