Former Deputy Enters Not Guilty Plea To Theft (w/VIDEO)

The former Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy accused of stealing from a juvenile services agency will be getting part of his bond back after pleading not guilty. Steve Tucker appeared in Christian Circuit Court for arraignment Wednesday afternoon. His attorney, HB Quinn asked Judge Andrew Self to consider a bond reduction since the money does not belong to Tucker.

Self agreed to lower the $10,000 bond to $1,000. Tucker posted bond the day of his arrest, so the remainder will be returned. A pretrial conference was set for March 28.

Tucker was arrested February 9 after being indicted by the Grand Jury on one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking Over $10,000 but less than $1 million. Kentucky State Police allege Tucker stole $55,000 from the Christian County Juvenile Services Foundation, of which he was the President.
