Hopkinsville Man Charged With Meth Possession

A Hopkinsville man arrested on warrants over the weekend is facing additional charges after police say they found him in possession of meth. Hopkinsville Police report 28-year old Charles Rawson was taken into custody shortly before 12:45 Sunday afternoon after they went to an apartment on Bassett Street looking for a Crime Stoppers fugitive and found Rawson exiting a vehicle at the residence. Police ran Rawson's information and determined he had an active warrant.

As Rawson was being placed under arrest, officers reportedly found a glass pipe and a plastic baggie of crystal meth in his hand.

Rawson was lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was also served the arrest warrant revoking his bond for missing a drug screening test.
