Flags Ordered To Half-Staff To Honor Florida Shooting Victims

Governor Matt Bevin has ordered all flags to half-staff at all state office buildings in honor of the victims of the mass shooting tragedy at a school in Parkland, Florida. This comes after a proclamation by President Donald Trump, and out of respect for those that lost their lives in the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

Governor Bevin says in a release "Kentucky joins our nation in mourning the innocent lives lost in the senseless violence this week in south Florida." He adds "our hearts are broken for all the students, teachers, first responders, medical professionals, and families affected by this despicable act of evil."

Governor Bevin encourages all individuals, businesses, organizations, and government agencies to join in the tribute of lowering the flag to honor the victims and families of this tragedy.
