Judge Denies Bond Reduction In Catlett Murder Case

A murder suspect will remain under a one million dollar bond until his trial in June. Julius Catlett, Jr. was arrested in September 2016 shortly after the fatal shooting of Shaun Smith. His attorney, Brandi Jones says that several trial postponements are unfair to Catlett.

Commonwealth’s Attorney, Lynn Pryor says Catlett has already fled the jurisdiction once.

Christian Circuit Judge Andrew Self denied the motion for bond reduction.

Catlett will go to trial in June after several delays due to lab testing not being completed in time for previous dates. The murder occurred on Younglove Street in Hopkinsville.
