“The Silent Natural” Featuring Western Kentucky

Hopkinsville and other parts of western Kentucky will be featured in a film that honors the legacy of a baseball player responsible for creating hand signals. Film Producer David Risotto says “The Silent Natural” is the story of a baseball player named William Hoy.

Risotto says the film is the story of how Hoy overcame the challenge of being deaf to have a major league baseball career.

Risotto said people need to encourage their legislators to keep the Kentucky Film Incentive program that is among the items targeted in Governor Matt Bevin’s budget cuts.

He adds western Kentucky is a great location to shoot a film.

Risotto says they will be shooting the film during the next year, with the film to be released prior to Spring Training in 2019.
