Two Charged With Possessing Controlled Substances

Police say a traffic stop on a vehicle with an obstructed windshield in Muhlenberg County led to two individuals being charged with possessing controlled substances. After the vehicle was pulled over in Drakesboro Friday night just before 7:00, police indicate the driver, 35-year old Joshua Martin and the passenger, 46-year old Katherine Croxton, both of Drakesboro, appeared under the influence.

While searching the vehicle, troopers reportedly found two clear plastic bags contained a substance suspected to be methamphetamine or synthetic drugs.

According to state police, Martin was admitted to Muhlenberg County Hospital and cited to court for DUI, 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Synthetic Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Obstructed Vision and/or Windshield.

Croxton was arrested and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Jail charged with 3rd Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Drug Unspecified), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Public Intoxication – Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol).
