Motorists and residents in Hopkinsville need to be aware the Hopkinsville Surface and Storm Water Utility's Flood Control Project will result in some street closures. City officials say Latham Avenue at the intersection of South Main Street will be closed each weekday from 7:00am until 5:00pm Thursday through Wednesday, February 14. A traffic detour around the construction site will be marked for drivers on Latham Avenue, Mooreland Drive, Alumini Drive and South Main Street.
Officials indicate South Main Street will remain open to traffic, and Lathem Avenue residents will have access to their driveways at all times during the closure.
Gray and Williams Construction is the General Contractor for this flood control project.
