The owner and manager of a popular new restaurant in the Broadbent Square area of Cadiz is assuring her neighbors and the community she has no plans to erect signs advertising the sale of alcohol. Nelson Green, with Harper House Restaurant and Triplets Bar-be-que, says you will not see signs advertising alcohol sales at the restaurants.
Greens adds she does not think those type of signs would be appropriate in front of her businesses.
She notes she always wants to be respectful to all of her neighbors.
Greens comments came in response to remarks made Tuesday night at the Cadiz City Council meeting by Rocky Ridge Baptist Church Pastor Steve Hardy. Council members are considering changing the Cadiz Alcohol Beverage Control ordinance to allow restaurants and businesses to erect signs advertising they sell alcohol. Cadiz City Council is expected to vote on the possible change at their March meeting.
