A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 6:00 Tuesday night until 6:00 Wednesday morning for the northern portion of the WKDZ-WHVO listening area. During a National Weather Service teleconference Tuesday afternoon, Lead Forecaster Mike York says most of the icing and freezing rain event will be north of a line stretching from Mayfield to Owensboro. He notes they are not really expecting much in the form of ice in the Hopkinsville area.
York indicates a little ice for the Hopkinsville area cannot be ruled out Wednesday morning.
However, with the amount of rainfall in the Hopkinsville area, York says they are concerned about flooding.
