Bardwell Man Injured In Shooting

The Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting which occurred in Carlisle County on Wednesday, just after noon. Police say the preliminary investigation has shown 49-year old Robert Ballard and 43-year old Ronald Williams, both of Bardwell, were involved in an altercation at a residence on Highway 1591. During that altercation, Robert Ballard was reportedly shot. He was flown from the scene to an area hospital, where he was treated and released.

Williams was arrested and charged with First Degree Assault, six counts of First Degree Wanton Endangerment, and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon. Mr. Williams was lodged in the Ballard County Jail. 48-year old Richard Wright, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, First Degree Wanton Endangerment, Second Degree Wanton Endangerment, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Wright was lodged in the Ballard County Jail.
