Ohio Teen Injured In Monday I-24 Crash

A 17-year old Ohio girl was injured in a three vehicle wreck on Interstate 24 in Christian County Monday night. The Christian County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to the crash near the 85 mile marker, one mile east of the Hopkinsville-Fort Campbell exit, around 6:35pm.

Deputies say Kiera Angelo, of Broadman, Ohio, was eastbound on I-24 and went to pass a tractor-trailer driven by 28-year old Kenswaylo Docher of Weir, Mississippi. Angelo switched into the right lane and reportedly hit the left front corner of the semi. Angelo's car then spun back around and went back into traffic and stuck the fuel tank of a semi, driven by 52-year old Kenneth Flener of Hazel, Kentucky, causing fuel to leak from the tank.

Deputies report Angelo was transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries. The driver's of the two tractor trailers were not hurt.

The sheriff's office say the leaking fuel tank was repaired and the driver was able to drive the semi from the scene.
