Hopkinsville Police are asking for help identifying the man who allegedly robbed the Marathon on East 9th Street early Friday morning. Police say an unknown man entered the store at the corner of 9th and Campbell Streets shortly after midnight. Police released surveillance footage from the gas station, which shows a man wearing a red glove, a black glove, a black coat, and a black hood walk in carrying a lunch box and a handgun.
He reportedly demanded and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. Police say the robbery suspect go into a parked vehicle on East 11th Street and it drove west. The vehicle is described as a dark-colored four-door passenger car.
