2nd Trigg Student Arrested After Threat Made Last Week

A Trigg County High School student is reportedly facing charges after making threats at the school. Superintendent Travis Hamby sent a call to all parents saying the threat was reported Monday.

He adds that threat was not known until Monday.

Hamby was on WKDZ Monday morning stressing the importance of teaching kids to report threats. Details about the student’s arrest have not yet been released.

This is the second student to be charged in 48 hours. Trigg County Sheriff Ray Burnam arrested a teen Saturday after a fellow student said the teen made a threat about bringing a gun to school and shooting the Principal and Assistant Principal. The teen admitted to saying the threat but told the sheriff he was joking.  Burnam took the teen into custody at 7:52pm and charged the teen with Terroristic Threatening.
