The Marshall County community is still in shock following Tuesday’s Marshall County High School shooting that left two students dead and 18 others injured. Chris Freeland with WCBL Radio in Benton says the 15 year-old Bailey Holt and Preston Cope were both outstanding students.
Freeland says the other students who were shot and injured Tuesday morning are expected to recover from their injuries.
He adds the community is still trying to process all the tragic events that took place Tuesday.
Freeland adds the community appreciates the respect and show of support for the families and students affected, and the staff at Marshall County High School.
He notes that the community has really stepped up to support those involved in the response and investigation.
He notes several prayer vigils were held throughout Marshall County Tuesday night, with several others planned during the coming days.
