HMS Student Charged After Making Threats Against School

Police say a Hopkinsville Middle School student has been taken into custody for allegedly making threats against the school. Hopkinsville Police Public Information Officer Paul Ray reports the juvenile made threatening statements on social media Tuesday following the arrest of his mother from an unrelated incident.

Officer Ray says the juvenile is charged with 2nd Degree Terroristic Threatening and Retaliating Against a Participant in a Legal Process. He adds the juvenile will be lodged in the McCracken County Juvenile Detention Center.
