A Muhlenberg County man has been charged with the sexual abuse of a child. Kentucky State Police report an investigation determined a 34-year old Central City man had sexually abused a child under the age of 12. Troopers obtained an arrest warrant and the man was taken into custody Friday around 5:50 at his home and charged with 1st Degree Sexual Abuse Victim Under 12 Years of Age, a Class C Felony, punishable by 5 to 10 years in prison. He was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
It is the policy of the News Edge to not release the name of those charged with sexual abuse until they have been indicted by a grand jury.
