Guthrie Woman Charged With Trafficking Meth, Opiates

A traffic stop in Todd County Wednesday netted the arrest of a Guthrie woman for trafficking drugs and carrying a concealed handgun. Todd County Sheriff Tracy White reports a deputy stopped a vehicle for a moving violation on Goebel Avenue in Elkton.

During the investigation, the deputy reportedly found the passenger, 28-year old Ashley Shumake of Guthrie, in possession of meth, hydrocodone, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a handgun.

Shumake was lodged in the Logan County Jail charged with 1st Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine, 1st Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance – Opiates, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon.
