Woman Allegedly Stole $8,000 From Bank Account

Clarksville Police need the public's help identifying a woman who reportedly stole over $8,000 from a bank account which did not belong to her. Public Information Officer Jim Knoll says the woman entered a Clarksville bank on January 5 and identified herself as Brenda Molinet and requested bank statements for her accounts. The teller requested an ID and the woman gave her a Florida driver's license with the name and driver's license number specified on the bank account. Knoll says the woman claimed she was in town for a funeral. She then, withdrew over $8,000 from "her" bank accounts.

On January 8, Knoll says the Clarksville bank received notification from a Miami-Dade bank branch, that a Brenda Molinet was in their branch disputing the withdrawal on her account.
