Hopkinsville Streets Continuing To Improve

The Hopkinsville City Street Department has been working hard on the city streets since the winter storm started bringing ice and snow to the area Thursday night. Hopkinsville Mayor Carter Hendricks says the main roads in the city are clear now.

He said the side roads and residential streets are still snow packed.

The Mayor says budgeting for winter storm street cleaning is difficult. With the city's 158 miles of streets, it just depends on the type of winter weather we have.

Crews will continue to work on the streets in the city as additional snow falls.
