President Receives Warm Farm Bureau Welcome

President Donald Trump was warmly received by the American Farm Bureau membership Monday in Nashville. The Delta Ballroom at the Opry Mills Hotel was completely full of farmers and ranchers from across the country as the first sitting President to visit the Farm Bureau Convention address the group in 25 years. President George H. W. Bush was the last sitting President to speak to the convention.

President Trump saluted the farmers and agriculture industry for what it means to our country.

   
He received a standing ovation when he said tax reform will remove the death tax.

   
Trump also said he plans to introduce legislation to make major infrastructure improvements across rural America.

   
The President also received standing ovations when discussed respect for our soldiers, our flag, and the National Anthem.

Following his remarks, the President signed two executive orders that will start the expansion of broadband into rural America.
