Indiana Woman Charged After Hopkins County Traffic Stop

An Indiana woman was charged with meth possession during a traffic stop in Hopkins County over the weekend. State police say 46-year old Sarah Swope of Elberfeld, Indiana was pulled over shortly after 7:30 Saturday night near Earlington for driving in a careless manner.

During a search of the vehicle, police reportedly found drug paraphernalia, multiple pills, and suspected meth.

Swope was arrested and booked into the Hopkins County Detention Center charged with 3rd Degree Possession of Drug Unspecified, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, DUI, Careless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Insurance.
