The Christian County Sheriff's Department is investigating the report of more than $32,000 worth of items stolen from Billy's Van and Truck Parts on Bypass Road. According to the report released Tuesday, Margaret Utley filed a report with the Christian County Sheriff's Office on Thursday, December 28, that sometime between December 20 and December 28 a 1,000 gallon propane tank, tools, engine stand, air compressor, a 5-ton hydraulic jack, car lift and other items with an estimated total of $32,200 were taken.
Utley stated to deputies she opened the gate for the electric company on Wednesday, December 27, and then she left the property and ran to town for a couple of hours. When she returned, she reportedly said she noticed the propane tank missing and then looked around the property and realized all the other items were also missing.
A suspect is listed on the report but the information has been redacted by the sheriff's office.
